Banana Cake

This recipe states the procedure for a mouthwatering Banana Cake.Its an easy c(b)ake but requires 3-5 mins extra time for baking than the time required for a plain cake. This requires 25 mins minimum baking time at 180 C (at the Centre Tray Position) . U can try it as a combo with Vanilla, Badham,Choco or carrot. Enjoy this Banana Cake with Tea/Coffee or after a filling Meal or anytime.U can try to serve it topped with grated nuts or coloured balls or with a cream topping. Enjoy it at home!.BonAppetit!.

Banana Cake - Cake made with chopped Banana
Ingredients
    125 gm refined flour - sifted
    2 - 3 or 300 gms Banana - Firm n Chopped fine
    1 tsp baking powder
    70 ml water
    30 ml refined oil
    1 well beaten egg (optional but this increases  the taste and the fluffiness)
    20 gm butter and 1 tbsp butter to grease the tray
    75 gm castor sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    20 gms cashews or nuts - chopped fine
 Directions
    1.Preheat the oven to 180 C .
    2.Sift together refined flour and baking powder.keep it aside.
    3.Cream butter and castor sugar and then add the beaten egg and whisk the mixture.
    4.Add the plain flour mixture,refined oil,vanilla extract and cashewnuts and mix(fold) it well for 2-3 mins.
    5.Then add chopped Banana to it and mix (fold)it well for a min or 2.
    6.Grease the cake tin with butter and bake for 25 - 30 mins in the middle rack(Check with a skewer,inserting to the cake mixture,till it comes out clean).Leave it undisturbed for 30 mins.

    7.Serve it with tea / coffee topped with the remaining nuts on top.

Beetroot Cake

This recipe states the procedure for a mouthwatering Beet Cake.Very healthy and an easy c(b)ake. I added pulsed beet - u  can do it with grated.It will turn out fine. I added 250 gms beet for the recipe and U can do it good with 200 gms of it. U can try it as a combo with Choco or carrot. Enjoy this Beet Cake with Tea/Coffee or anytime.U can try to serve it topped with choco strands or coloured balls or with a cream topping. Enjoy it anytime!.BonAppetit!.

Beetroot Cake - Cake made with grated beetroot
Ingredients
    120 gm refined flour - sifted
    2 - 3 or 150-200 gms beetroot - grated
    1 tsp baking powder
    70 ml water
    30 ml refined oil
    1 well beaten egg (optional but this increases  the taste)
    40 gm butter and 1 tbsp butter to grease the tray
    75 gm castor sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    30 gms cashews - chopped fine
    2 tsp choco strands -optional
Directions
    1.Preheat the oven to 180 C .
    2.Sift together refined flour and baking powder.keep it aside.
    3.Cream butter and castor sugar and then add the beaten egg and whisk the mixture.
    4.Then add the plain flour mixture,vanilla extract and cashewnuts and mix them well for 2-3 mins.Then, add grated beetroot to it and mix them well for 3 more mins.
    5.Grease the cake tin with butter and bake for 25 - 30 mins in the middle rack(Check with a skewer,inserting to the cake mixture,till it comes out clean).Leave it undisturbed for 30 mins.

Black Forest Cake

Merry Christmas Everyone!. This recipe states the easiest Black Forest Cake preparation this Christmas Eve. Black Forest Cake is an extremely popular German Gateau/ Dessert/Cake is otherwise called as 'Black Forest Cherry Torte'. Black Forest cake is mostly done without alcohol and can be made eggless.U can add 2-3 well beaten egg to the cake Mixture in Step 3.U need to Chill-bake it for 2 hours atleast beore serving. Enjoy Delicious and Happy Christmas!. Enjoy Ur Meal!. Bonappetit!.

Black Forest Cake - Layered Chocolate Sponge cake with cream and soaked in cherry syrup and garnished with cream and grated chocolate
Ingredients
    120ml condensed milk
    60 gm butter
    1 cup refined  flour
    2 or 2 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
    3/4 tsp baking powder
    100 gms castor sugar or confectioners' sugar
    1 1/2 cup cream
    2 tbsp powdered sugar or confectioners' sugar
    20 cherries - finely chopped

For Cherry Syrup:
    1 cup or 150 gm fresh cherries
    1/4 cup water
    2 tbsp granulated sugar or confectioners' sugar
For the Garnish
    3-4 tbsp bittersweet chocolate - grated
Directions
    1.Preheat the Oven to 350 F .
    2.Sift the refined flour with cocoa powder and baking powder.
    3.Stir in condended milk,sugar and 50 gm butter and beat well.
    4.Grease the baking pan and pour in the cake mixture and bake it for 22 to 25 mins or till a toothpick comes out clean,inserted at the centre of the cake.Allow it to cool for 10 mins.
    5.Meanwhile,Prepare cherry syrup and keep it aside.
    6.Prepare the filling by whipping cream with sugar till creamy.Keep it aside.
    7.Slice the cake horizontally in to 3 parts.Soak it with cherry syrup by pouring few spoons over each slices evenly. Spread the cream filling, sprinkle chopped cherry and place a slice on top. Again apply cream, sprinkle chopped cherries and place the last slice on top so that the slices get sandwiched with cream evenly.
    8.Cover the top and the sides with whipped cream and sprinkle grated chocolate flakes over it and garnish with 5 - 6 Cherries on top.
    9.Refrigerate it for 2 hours atleast and serve it chilled.
For preparing the Cherry Syrup:
    1.De-seed the cherries and pulse it fine many times.
    2.Boil the pureed Cherries with 1/4 cup water and granulated sugar.Stir it till the sugar gets dissolved.
    3.Stir-cook it for 15 mins on low flame or till it gets thick.Turn off the flame.
    4.Leave the syrup to cool for 20 mins.Refridgerate it after collecting the syrup in a jar.

Cornflour Lemon cake

This recipe states a simple and super yumm lemon-flavored sponge cake done with cornflour.U can Use wheat flour and try this recipe as well.This less-sweetened sponge cake is an ideal accompaniment to Cardamom Tea and can have it anytime.U can serve it without the toppings done. Enjoy easy bake at home!.Enjoy Ur Meal!. BonAppetit!.

Cornflour Lemon cake - Lemon flavored sponge cake done with cornflour
Ingredients:
1 tsp grated rind of lemon
4 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup refined flour
1/2 cup corn flour(little less than)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup powdered sugar
50 gms butter or 50 ml refined oil
4 tbsp yoghurt
2 eggs - well beaten
2 tsp butter - to grease the tin
For the Toppings:
100gms sugar
70 ml water
1 tbsp or 4 tsp lemon juice
Directions:
1.Preheat the oven to 180 C.
2.Sift refined flour,cornflour and baking powder to a bowl.Add lemon rinds and lemon juice and mix it into crumble.
3.whisk butter and powdered sugar till creamy or fluffy.Stir in yoghurt and mix well.
4.Add it to the flour mix with beaten eggs and fold it well.add 50 - 70 ml lukewarm water if needed.
5.Grease the cake tin with butter and pour in the cake flour.Bake at 180 C for 15-18 mins or till done.(when a fork inserted comes out clean at the centr of the cake).Leave it for 15 mins.
6.Caramelise 100gm sugar in 70 ml water and add 1 tbsp lemon juice and stir in till the sugar gets dissolved.
7.Pour the caramelized topping over the cake and serve it warm.

Caramel Bread Cake

A humble bread pudding can be made(baked) a cake if u try it innovatively at home. This absolutely delicious baked pudding is easy to make(bake) at home.This tastefully appealing cake is deliciously Caramel flavored and an irresistible treat to your tastebuds. This excellent evening snack needs 40 mins baking time  and serves 4 nos.Enjoy Easy B(C)ake at home!.Enjoy Your Meal!.BonAppetit!.

Caramel Bread Cake - a Baked Bread Pudding
Ingredients:
    5 - 6 Milk or sweet bread slices,shredded and pulsed fine
    150 ml hot water  
    1 - 2 eggs - beaten
    1 cup warm milk
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 tsp vanilla essence
    1/2 tsp cardamom powder or cinnamon powder
    10 almonds - flaked
    2 tbsp butter -for greasing the tray
Directions
    1.Caramelize sugar in 150 ml water adding vanilla essence and stir it till the sugar dissolves and the syrup turns light brown(shd not get thick) - say for about 10 -12 mins on good flame.Keep it aside.
    2.Soak the pulsed bread in milk and mash it well till evenly soaked.
    3.Add the well beaten eggs and mix it well.
    4.Add the cardamom powder and mix it well.
    5.Now add the caramelized suagr syrup and mix it well with almond flakes.
    6.Grease a  baking tray with butter and sprinkle 1 tbsp almond flakes.
    7.Bake at 350 degrees F for about 35 - 40 mins or till an inserted knife at the centre comes out clean.Leave it for a while and turn upside down on a serving tray.
    8.Serve it warm or hot anytime.

Baked Soya Cake

It can be a light as well as filling  snack or a supplement to a memorable wholesome meal.This is a lightly curried and deliciously done cake recipe.Best served with sauces or pineapple or raw mango pickle as a taste-match and this serves 4 nos yielding 6 -8 pieces.Can be done quickly in 20 - 22 mins and the result is a tastefully tantalizing treat to tastebuds.It is healthy and highly recommended since its done by baking instead of deep-frying. Baked Soya Cake - A Better option to Deep-frying
Ingredients:
About 15 soya chunks or mealmaker chunks
1 tsp finely chopped lemon grass
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 small green chilli
1 tsp white pepper powder
1/4 tsp or needed salt
few coriander leaves
1/2 tsp lemon juice
a pinch of turmeric powder
1 small mashed potato(boiled for 10 mins)
1/2 cup freshly done breadcrumbs
2 tbsp refined oil

Directions

    1.Soak the Soya Chunks in boiling water for 5 mins and drain the water.Rinse it with cold water and squeeze excess water.Pulse it fine with green chilli and mix it with boiled and mashed potato,ginger-garlic paste,salt, white pepper powder and coriander leaves.
    2.Add lemon juice,lemon grass,turmeric powder and breadcrumbs to form a thick paste.
    3.Shape the mixture into square shaped cutlet moulds and brush it with oil.
    4.Bake in an oven at 350 degree F for 20 - 22 mins.
    5.To check the doneness,insert a toothpick - if it comes out clean,then this Soya cake is considered as done.
    6.Serve it hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.(Tomato or mustard or Lebanese Garlic Sauce) or pineapple or Raw Mango Chutney.

Pineapple or Raw Mango Chutney:
Ingredients:
1 cup peeled and chopped Pineapple or Raw Mango pieces
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp red  chilli powder
1/2 tsp fresh Ginger juice
1/2 tsp Extra Virgin Oil
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Directions:
Mix the following ingredients well and serve it with Baked Soya Cake

Dates Honey Cake

If cake can be done in such an amazing variety, this can be one.This cake is done without oil(used for greasing the tin),butter and sugar.Since Cake can be done with different flavors, fruits,colours,textures and Icings and this is done using honey, pulsed dates,grated ginger and dates syrup.Really tastes different and super delicious with mild sweetness. It can be done moist and better by adding 50 ml refined oil and even tastes so good without it and butter.Adding grated ginger makes it feel good and flavored as it goes well with honey and dates.Certainly an easy (piece of) Cake for expert hands to try it at home.U can try it with Wheat flour instead of Self raising flour and the result will be a super yumm Healthy Cake.Enjoy the best of Dates and honey experience!.Share the Joys of Life this Christmas Season!!. Dates Honey Cake - A Feel Good Dessert
Ingredients
        1 1/4 cup self-raising flour
        100 ml good honey
        60 gm dates - pulsed fine with 100 ml milk
        10 dates - pulsed coarsely
        100 ml dates syrup          
        2 eggs - beaten well (optional)
        2 tbsp plain lowfat yoghurt
        2 tsp Maple syrup(optional)
        20 ml refined oil
        3/4 tsp grated ginger
        3/4 tsp baking powder
        a pinch of salt(less than 1/6 tsp)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. Sieve  self-raising flour,salt and baking powder together.keep this aside..
3. Beat finely pulsed dates and milk with dates syrup using a hand mixer till it blends well.
4. Add it to the flour bowl and mix it with a spatulla adding coarsely pulsed dates,beaten eggs (optional),2 tbsp plain lowfat Yoghurt, Maple Syrup (optional) and grated ginger for few mins(5-7 mins) so that no lump should form.
5. Grease  8" cake tin with 2 - 3 tbsp oil or butter and place 2-3 tbsp coarsely pulsed dates
6. Pour the prepared mixture into the tin and bake for 30 - 35 mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Remove from oven and allow it to cool for 20 minutes.Invert the tin on a wire rack and remove it carefully.
8. You can glaze it with honey and Slice and serve it hot along with tea or coffee.

Pineapple Cake

Cake is a delightful baked dessert if done in varieties,kids of all ages will fall in luv with it.Try this pineapple added cake for a change and enjoy its fine flavor.I tried adding a Pineapple piece at the centre but it did not work that well.Serve it with Tea or Coffee.Enjoy ur Teatime. Pineapple Cake:



Ingredients:

1 cup Maida(refined flour)
50 gm Butter
2 eggs (beaten well)
1 tsp Baking Powder
a pinch of Salt
2 pineapple slices - pulsed once
1 pineapple slice - chopped
1 tsp Pineapple essence
50 ml refined oil

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. Sieve maida, salt and baking powder together.keep this aside..
3. Beat butter and refined oil together with a hand mixer till it becomes creamy.Add pulsed pineapple and beat it well till it blends well.
4. Add powdered sugar and beat till creamy .
5. Add pineapple essence and chopped pineapple and mix well.Add it to the maida bowl and mix it with a spatulla for few mins so that no lump shd form.
6. Grease  8" cake tin and dust it with refined flour.
7. Pour the prepared mixture into the tin and bake for 30 mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8. Remove from oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.Invert the tin on a wire rack and remove it carefully.
9. Slice the Pineapple cake and serve it along with tea or coffee.

Coffee Cake

No meal is complete without  'something SWEET' .Why U need to buy it from a shop to provide a stranger-made Cake to ur guests as the Last impression of ur hospitality - while hosting a Lunch or Dinner.U can bake a cake to make them feel at home.Try this Coffee flavoured cake for instant. Enjoy it anytime!.

Coffee Cake - Cake made with instant coffee powder

Ingredients
    100 gm plain flour
    2 tbsp instant coffee powder
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    40 gm dark brown sugar
    60 ml full cream boiled milk
    20 ml refined oil
    1/2 cup cream
    5 tsp sugar
    1 tsp cinnamon powder
    a drop vanilla essence
    1 well beaten egg (optional but this increases  the taste)
    75 gm butter and 1 tbsp butter to grease the tray
    75 gm castor sugar

Directions
    1.Blend the instant coffee powder, vanilla essence and the boiled milk in a mixer and keep it aside.
    2.Sift together plain flour,baking powder and cinnamon powder.keep it aside.
    3.Beat together butter, castor sugar and the dark brown sugar and then add the beaten egg and whisk
the mixture.
    4.Then add the plain flour mixture and oil and mix them well for 2-3 mins.Then add the coffee powder mixture to it and mix them well for 3 more mins.
    5.Grease the baking tray and microwave this on high for 7-8 mins.(check with a skewer, inserting to the cake mixture,till it comes out clean).Leave it undisturbed after taking it out for over 40 mins
    6.Meanwhile blend  the cream and  sugar together in a mixer for a min and keep that aside.
    7.After the cake is made cut that into 2 halves and sanndwich the sweetened cream mixture in between the cake pieces.
    8.Serve this Coffee Cake with cardamom tea .

Quick Chocolate Cake (Microwave)

I tried it many times and it came out well.Since cardamom or vanilla essence is added,the egg smell gets diminished considerably.Strict Vegetarians can avoid egg. Busy people and who cannot prepare the batter, just get a Pillsbury Instant cake mix and follow the instructions on the cover.Try this at home and enjoy this Yummy Chocolate Cake deliciously.

Quick Chocolate Cake (Microwave) - Rich Chocolate cake in few mins time


Ingredients

200 gm all purpose flour
150 ml water
40 gm cocoa powder
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 dry yeast corn-don't add more
100 ml water
2 eggs -beaten well(Vegetarians can avoid this or add enough essence to get rid of eggy flavor)
150 gm sugar -powdered
50 gm butter
3 tbsp refined oil
12 cashew nuts chopped fine
20 raisins chopped fine
1 tsp cardamom or vanilla essence
2 tbsp choco chips

Directions

1.Add all purpose flour,cocoa powder and powdered sugar.Mix well and  sieve this flour mixture 2 times atleast.
2.Beat the eggs well.
3.Add baking powder(last) so that it does not make the flour harder and mix well.Add water little by
little and stir it slowly with a spatula so that all the ingredients get evenly mixed.
4.Add the beaten eggs and the yeast corn and beat the mixture for 2 mins with a hand mixer - atleast till
a smooth batter forms without any lumps.If the batter is too thick add water to get a dropping consistency.
5.Add half the butter and vegetable oil and beat one min using a hand mixer.
6.Add roasted cashews,chopped raisins,vanilla or cardamom essence.Mix this well.
7.Pour this batter in to a butter greased microwave bowl upto 2/3rd height of the bowl (leaving 1 1/2 inch
space empty) and cover it with lid.
8.Microwave this on Medium-high for 4 mins.Take the bowl out and sprinkle choco chips on top.
9.Then pre-heat the oven to 150 degree C and bake for 12-15 mins.( or U can Microwave this on high for 6 mins)
10.Leave the cake bowl undisturbed for atleast 50 mins.
11.Then,Turn the cake upside down after loosing the edges with a knife and serve it or Icing it.

Note:
If u don't have a lid cover it with 3 layers of paper towels. Those who are using cake oven can pour this batter in a greased cake tin and bake this in a preheated oven at 180 degree C for 20-30 mins.Remove the tin and let it cool for 10 mins.
