Horlicks Oats Cookies

 Baked snacks are greatly accepted  teatime snack item and  tastes so good - done in different shapes using various grains and flavors.This recipe is my own version - inspired by Sushma Mallya's Cookies recipe.Can try it with pulsed Cornflakes, dessicated Coconut or crushed nuts,choco-chips etc instead of Oats.This perfect bake is a less-sweetened and an easy snack to be enjoyed anytime. This simple and simply lip-smacking cookies need 16 mins baking time with over 15 cookies depending on the size and serve 4 nos.Try this recipe at home and enjoy easy baking at home!.Enjoy!.BonAppetit!.

Horlicks Oats Cookies - Cookies done using Horlicks Powder and Oats Flakes
Ingredients
    1 cup refined or wheat flour
    1/3 cup Horlicks Powder
    2 tbsp  + 1 tbsp butter - softened
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    2 tbsp Oats(Pulsed once)
    1 or 2 eggs - beaten well
    1/4 tsp vanilla essence
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    3-4 tbsp lowfat milk or needed
Directions:
    1.Preheat the oven to 180°C.
    2.Using a hand mixer,beat butter,egg,powdered sugar and vanilla essence till it turns creamy and fluffy.
    3.Sift flour(refined or wheat),baking and horlicks powder together over the butter mixture and stir in adding lowfat milk and pulsed Oats flakes - till it forms a smooth and soft dough.
    4.Shape into balls and flatten them round or cut it with cookie cutter. Place it on baking tray greased with butter or  baking sheet on it.
    5.Bake for 14 to 16 minutes or till golden brown.Leave it on the baking tray for 10 minutes.
    6.Serve it with Tea or Coffee.
