Healthy Oats Idli

Oats Idli can be tried at home the same night u prepare the Idli batter freshly or even with Dosa batter the next Day without adding Curd.Healthy as well as tasty recipe and good for adults and kids.U can do the same recipe With riceflakes or Poha or Aval or U can do it including oil-sauteed Onions and  grated Vegs.Try this at home & taste it hot with Tomato Onion Chutney(microwave-recipe)or Carrot Chutney or Idli Milagai Podi(Idli Chilli Powder).Enjoy Healthy Breakfast. Don't skip it.Enjoy Cooking at home!.BonAppetit!

Healthy Oats Idli - Idli made with Idli batter and pulsed Oats

Ingredients:

100gm Oats (pulsed 4 times atleast)
500 gm Idli batter(salted)-fresh and not fermented
4 tbsp plain curd
1 tsp or needed salt
1 tbsp roasted semolina
200ml water
2 tbsp refined oil

Directions
1.Take a blender,Pulse the Oats 3-4 times and add this to the fresh Idli batter with  curd,salt and semolina .Mix this well and keep this aside.
2.Brush oil on Idli plates,pour the batter on each hole and steam-cook covered for 7-10 mins or till done.
3.Serve this hot with Idli Chilli Powder and Red tomato-Onion Chutney or Carrot chutney or Chutney of ur choice.

Tips:
U can do the same recipe With soaked and crushed riceflakes or Poha or Aval .An image of  it is given here.

Only today my fren was telling me abt oats Idly and got the recipe here...Wanna try this...But can this be made with the Idly batter?

Hi Saji,I tried it with Idli batter adding Oats(pulsed fine) and curd.U can try it like rava idly.
