Masala Bread

Try this yumm and mild-spiced Bread Masala which is best taken with raita or alone as an Evening light Meal/Dinner/ Breakfast. It can be packed for Lunch for kids of all ages.This needs 12 mins Cooking time to serve 3 nos. U can add grated carrot,finely chopped Palak,roasted capsicum slices or oil-roasted potato fries/chops in Step 5 and Serve it hot. Enjoy easy Cookig at home!. Enjoy Ur Meal!. Bonappetit!.

Masala Bread - A delightfully light Meal
Ingredients:
6 - 8 bread slices - Edges removed and chopped ino bite sized pieces
1 big onion - sliced thin or chopped fine
2 medium sized tomatoes - finely chopped
1 green chilly - sliced thin
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves
2 tsp refined oil
1-2 tsp ghee
Directions:
1.Heat oil in a non-stick pan and saute sliced onions and ginger-garlic paste till done for 3 mins.
2.Add finely chopped tomatoes,chopped curry leaves,green chilli slices,red chilli powder,garam masala powder and salt.Saute it well till tomato begins to melt.
3.Add 120 ml water and bring it to boil.
4.Meanwhile, heat 2 tsp ghee in a non-stick kadai and ghee-roast bread pieces till it gets done for 2  mins (Turn off the flame b4 the bread pieces change colour).
5.Add this bread pieces and chopped coriander leaves to the Step 3 Masala and mix it well till the masala gets evenly spread over the bread pieces.
6.Serve it hot with Cucumber/Onion Raita as an Evening light Meal/Dinner/Breakfast or pack it for Lunch(Reheat it in M/W Oven and have a Wonderful Light Meal).

Bread Chicken Cutlet

Nice tea-time snack recipe is given here to try at home.U can even use the cleaned left-over chicken pieces(in chicken curry dish made for Lunch) .This cutlets need no breadcrumbs to roll it on.This can be fried as such. Strict Vegetarians can try this recipe with grated Mixed Veg.and corn flour paste instead of egg white.Can have it for Breakfast with Burger Buns or alone.Reposted for the Bread Breakfast Club Event mentioned below.

Bread Chicken Cutlet - Chicken Cutlet made with bread pieces and spices

Ingredients

5 bread slices(edges removed and shredded)
5 boneless chicken pieces(boiled and pulsed twice using mixer-grinder)
1 mashed potato(boiled)
1 tsp garam masala or curry masala powder
1 tsp ground spices(1 green chilli,1/2 tsp saunf,1/2 cm ginger piece and 1 garlic pearl)
1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp salt
2 egg whites(beaten well)
3 tbsp refined oil (for shallow frying)

Directions

1.Mix all the ingredients except egg whites and oil.Knead this into a fine dough and shape them into round cutlets.
2.Heat oil in a dosa Tawa and dip the cutlets in egg white and shallow fry these cutlets till done on both sides.

Bread Bajji

When U have no Bajji vegetables at home and unexpected guests r coming in mins,What will u do?- try this
Bajji for instance.U can try Bajji with Capsicum, Onion,Potato,Ladies inger,Tomato,Cauliflower,Cabbage,
Lettuce,Bajji Greenchilli,Mushroom,Raw Banana, etc.. .then with Chicken pieces, Fish, Prawns, Paneer,
sausages, Left-over Idli,Chapathi,Parota etc...with fruits,Firm ripe Banana,Apple,Firm Mango slices etc. for variations.This will turn out to be an easy evening snack for all. Reposted for the Breakfast Bread Event given below.

Bread Bajji - Bajji done with Bread slices

Ingredients

10 bread slices-cut into 2 or 3 after removing edges
100gm besan flour(Kadalai Mavu)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp ajwain-powdered
1/4 tsp cooking soda
2 tbsp rice flour
1/4 tsp cumin seeds (Jeera)-coarsely powdered
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp chopped curry and coriander leaves
1 tsp salt - to taste
200 ml refined Oil for frying
needed water


Directions

1.Make a coarse powder of ajwain and cumin seeds.
2.Make a semi-thick batter of Besan and rice flour with needed water.Add chilli powder,cooking soda, asafoetida powder and Salt to it. Mix well.
3,Add the ajwain and cumin seeds mix to this and mix well.
4.Add the curry and coriander leaves paste and mix well.
5.Heat oil in a kadai.Dip the bread slices completely in the batter and immediately(shd not get too wet) deep fry this till crispy & golden brown.
6.Serve hot this Bread Bajji with coconut chutney or tomato sauce at tea-time.

Tips:
U can buy Aachi Bajji-Bonda Mix and try this bajji - an easy option.
