Red Banana(Malai vazhai Pazham) is termed healthier than other Banana Varieties.I tried this Banana Badham Payasam with Badham Milk Powder.U can Peel and pulse 15 almonds and try this Payasam adding 3 tbsp extra sugar.Can do it with other Banana Varieties and Steam-cook it for 3 mins only.Enjoy this fine-flavored fruit Dessert-after a filling Meal.Enjoy ur Meal!.BonAppetit!.
Banana Badham Payasam - Banana and Badham added milky Dessert
Ingredients:
100 gm Badham milk Powder(Ready-Mix)
1 ripe and firm Red Banana(Malai Vazhai Pazham)
3 tbsp sugar
few badham flakes(almond flakes)
few ghee-roasted raisins or tutti-fruiti
500ml Full cream boiled milk
4 tsp grated coconut
4 tbsp Condensed milk
Directions:
1.Boil one litre water in a pressure pan and add the red banana after the water begins to boil.Close the pan lid.Steam-cook it without using whistle for 7 mins on low flame.Put it on cold water,remove the peel and chop it fine.
2.Meanwhile,heat the full-cream milk adding badham milk powder and sugar.Let it boil, stirring it often till it reduces to 3/4th the amt.
3.Add the chopped banana and grated coconut to the Badham milk.Stir it for a min or 2.Allow it to cool and refrigerate for 40 mins atleast..
4.Arrange it in dessert bowls with 1 tbsp condensed milk on top and sprinkle Almond flakes and tutti-fruitti over it/bowl.
5.Yum..yum Banana Badham Payasam is ready to be served.after a filling meal.
