This is one of my Mom's signature dishes.she's been doing this for over 40 years atleast.Her in-laws used to specially ask her to do this fry whenever they taste sambar or Paruppu Kuzhambu with rice.My family enjoys this fry,which goes very well with Sambar rice and curd rice.Easy to do.Can be done in 10 mins time.and serves 4 nos.Try this recipe at home and post your comments.Enjoy Ur Meal!. Spicy Yam Fry - Very Tasty Yam Fry
Ingredients:
150 gms yam - cut into1 inch length thin pieces
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt (or salt to taste)
fried curry leaves(to add taste)
1 tbsp refined oil
Directions:
1.Heat oil in a kadai. Add curry leaves and then yam pieces and start stir-frying.Saute this till little crispy for 3-4 mins adding salt alone.
2.Then,Sprinkle chilli powder and turmeric powder.
3.Stir-fry the Yam for 5-6 minutes on low flame( stirring continuously till it becomes half-crispy)
4.Serve it hot with rice and Sambar.
