Yoghurt(Dahi) Fish Curry - Easy to do Fish Curry in Yoghurt Sauce
Ingredients:
600 gms whole pomfret or 600 gms any good fish (cut into thin slices)
70 ml plain yoghurt
1 large onion (chopped)
5 cloves crushed Garlic
1 chopped tomato
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp peppercorns crushed
1/6 tsp fenugreek seeds
curry leaves - a sprig
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp salt to taste
2 tsp oil
Directions:
1.Heat the oil in a pan and fry the garlic until golden brown.
2.Add the fenugreek seeds and fry for 30 secs.
3.Then,add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
4.Add tomatoes,chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and mix well.Cook for 3-4 mins .
5.Pour in 250 ml water and boil it for 3 mins.Now,add the fish pieces,pepper powder,chopped coriander leaves and salt.Cook for 10 minutes or till done.
6.Stir in the yoghurt or lemon juice and add to the boiled fish and cook for a min or 2.
7.Serve hot with fried curry leaves and 2 tsp of Yoghurt on top.

mmmmm...yummy!! usually they say fish and yoghurt should not be eaten together, but I have it all the time, so this mix of both in a single recipe must be perfect!!
