Very tasty Green Moongdal Vada for teatime.This is done using Microwave Oven and U need 12 mins cooking time atleast for doing this vada.The taste remains the same but U will miss the 'fried' feel of it.This vada is served as healthy recipe of the Day.Serve it hot with tea or coffee with coconut chutney.Enjoy healthy and tasty teatime!.BonAppetit!.
Green Mungdal Vada - Vada made with Sprouted Green Mungdal and spices
Ingredients:
80 gms sprouted Green Mungdal - soaked for 50 mins and well-drained
10 sambar onions - finely chopped
2 lengthy red chillies
1/4 cup gram dhal-kadalai paruppu - soaked for 50 mins and well-drained
a pinch of saunf
1/5 tsp salt
6 chopped curry leaves
little chopped coriander
1 tbsp refined oil
Directions:
1.Grind soaked sprouted Green Mungdal,gram dhal with saunf,whole red chillies without adding water using a mixer grinder.
2.Add chopped onions,salt,curry leaves,chopped coriander to the ground Sprout mixture and mix well. Shape them into round flat-sized vada.
3.Arrange it in a microwave-safe tray.Microwave it on high for 4 mins,then take out and spread oil and
Microwave it on 4 mins on medium-high
4.Take it out and turn the side and Microwave it on high for 3 mins and again for 3 mins on medium-high afer applying oil - till it turns golden brown on bothsides.
5.Serve it hot with coconut chutney at tea-time.
