Mealmaker(Soya Chunks) Fry

This recipe states two crisp-frying methods of Soya Chunks or Mealmaker. One as a simple fry without pulsing the soyachunks and the other one is grinding the soy chunks with spices and then shallow-frying as Soya Cola (Balls). Serve them hot with tomato ketchup as Tea-time Snack or with Steamed rice and sambar as side-dish.Try this at home.Enjoy ur Meal!.BonAppetit!.

Mealmaker(Soya Chunks) Fry - Ground Soya chunks fried in oil with spices

1.Simple Soya Fry:

I've been doing this over 15 yrs.Take 100 gms Soya chunks and boil them with 1 tsp chilli powder and 1/2 tsp salt for 2 mins in 1 litre water, then after dew mins, take them out and squeeze the excess water(don't deshape them) and put 1/2 tsp chilli powder,1/4 tsp mutton masala or curry masala powder- optional,a pinch of turmeric powder and 1/4 tsp salt and mix them well and shallow-fry them with curry leaves and mustard seeds with 2 tbsp refined oil in a frying pan, stirring it for 3 mins on good flame (till they get light-brown on the sides).
or
U can M/Wave it on high for 5-7 mins after applying oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and other spices
