Egg Pakora

U might have heard of boiled Egg Pakora which needs 10 mins extra time to finish the snack and thus done boiled Yolk pieces almost get wasted in the process.Try this Scrambled Egg Pakora (needs less time) for a change.It can serve U a good and perfect teatime snack quickly.Very tasty and kids will love it.U need 10 mins time in the kitchen and this serves 4 nos.Try this recipe at home and Enjoy delish Egg Pakoras this Teatime.Yummy!.

Egg Pakora:
Ingredients:
2 Eggs - scrambled with 1 tsp oil.
3/4 cup aachi bajji bonda mix
1/5 tsp of chilli powder
1/3 cup water
2 cloves of garlic - crushed
1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
3 curry leaves - chopped
1 tbsp butter - optional
a pinch of salt
a pinch of maze powder
200 ml oil - for deep frying

Directions:
1.Mix Aachi bonda/bajji mix with garlic cloves,Butter, a pinch of maze powder,salt,chilli powder, curry and
coriander leaves and needed water.Mix well so that no lumps should form.The batter should be very thick .
2.Add the scrambled eggs to the gramflour batter and Mix well.Arrange the gramflour batter in shapeless pieces.
3.Heat oil in a kadai and  deep-fry the packoras till it turns golden brown.
4.Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or coconut chutney.
Microwave Recipe of the same:
After doing step1 and 2
3.Arrange the gramflour batter in shapeless pieces with few drops of oil sprinkled on top over a MicroWave-safe tray.Similarly make all the pakoras.
4.M/Wave this on high for 3 mins.Take the tray out.Flip the pakoras and sprinkle few drops of oil on top.M/wave this on Medium High for 4-6 mins.(Times may vary by 1-2 mins.Check Ur Oven Manual before rushing to the kitchen).Take this out.
5.Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or coconut chutney.

Bread Greens Pakora

If u have few slices of bread and a handful of chopped Greens at home,try this Bread Greens Pakora to serve with Tea or with Sambar or Rasam or Kara Kuzhambu and Plain Steamed Rice.It can be done in a Jiffy in 6-7 mins time and this serves 4 nos.Use plain or the besanflour which U find good enough and add 1/4 tsp Asafoetida to it and mix it well with other mentioned spices.Try this recipe at home.Enjoy it anytime!. Bread Greens Pakora -  Oil-roasted spicy besanflour coated Bread and Greens Pakoras

Ingredients:
    4-5 slices Sandwich Bread (Don't use milk bread)
    1 cup finely chopped Greens
    1/2 cup Besan flour
    a pinch of asafoetida
    1/4 tsp chilli powder
    2-3 tbsp water
    1 garlic clove - crushed
    1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
    2 curry leaves - chopped
    1/4  tsp  Salt
    200 ml refined oil

Directions

    1.Mix besan flour with garlic cloves,shredded bread sliced,a pinch of asafoetida,salt,chilli powder,curry and coriander leaves and water.The batter should be as thick as dry and with no lumps .
    2.Add the chopped Greens to the besanflour batter and Mix well.
    3.Arrange the gramflour batter in shapeless pieces on a tray.Similarly make all the pakoras.
    4. Heat oil in a kadai and deep-fry the shapeless pieces till it turns light brown on the sides.
    5.Take this out.Place it on absorbent paper to remove excess oil and Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or coconut chutney.

Fish Pakora

This tasty-treat is a mouth-watering Snack Recipe - given esp for Fish Lovers here.U can have it as an accompaniment or teatime snack.In this recipe,Fish pieces are deep or shallow-fried with spices and with gramflour coating.U can try this recipe with Chicken,Prawns and Sausages and with loads of Vegs of Ur Choice.Very tasty teatime recipe this is.Enjoy Ur Teatime and BonAppetit!.

Fish Pakora - Fish pieces shallowfried with spied gramflour coating

Ingredients:
    150 gms boneless good Fish pieces - cut into bite sized strips
    1/2 tsp chilli powder
    5 tbsp Aachi bajji bonda mix powder or plain besanflour(kadalai maavu) with 1/5 tsp asafoetida powder
    1/2 tsp garam masala powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    50 ml water
    1/4 tsp cuminseeds
    few coriander leaves-optional
    3 curry leaves - optional
    200ml refined oil

Directions:
    1.Mix chilli powder,cumin seeds,garam masala powder,salt and 50 ml water with Aachi Bajji bonda mix.
    2.Add the Fish pieces in gramflour batter(add curry and coriander leaves if U want).Mix it well so that no lumps should form.
    3.Heat oil in the frying pan .Put the chicken pieces in  boiling oil and shallow fry on bothsides,till golden brown. Similarly make all the pakoras.
    4.Hot and fresh Fish Pakoras are now ready to be served with tomato ketchup and Coconut Chutney.

Healthier Option:(Microwave Recipe)

Microwave the masala-flour coated Fish pieces(Step 2) for 3 mins on High(the batter shd be thick) and then stop and apply or brush little oil over the pakoras and M/W on High for 2 mins.Then pause and Medium High for 4-5 mins.That's all!.This timing is for 100 gms Fish pieces.

Coconut Chutney:
3 tbsp grated coconut
1 sambar onion
1/2 garlic pearl
1 big green chilli
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
1.Mix all the ingredients and grind it into a smooth paste with 50 ml water.Serve it with Fish Pakoras.That's all!.
