Mushroom-Onion Pulao - Pulao made with Mushrooms and spices
Ingredients:
2 cups basmati rice-cooked with 2 1/2 cups water(1 whistle in pressure cooker)
200 gms Mushroom-cleaned and chopped
2 big onions-sliced
3/4 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies - slit
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 cinnamon stick
2 green cardamom
2 cloves
1 bayleaf
few chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp refined oil with 1 tsp ghee
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Heat oil and ghee in a non-stick kadai.Fry cumin seeds,bay leaf,cinnamon stick,cloves and cardamoms.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 3 mins.
3. Add coriander leaves,green chillies and salt and saute for 2 more mins.
4. Add the chopped mushrooms and 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 mins or till the masala gets dry.
5. Add the cooked basmati rice and mix well for 2 more mins.
6. Serve this Mushroom-Onion Pulav with raita of your choice.
