Cashew Macaroons

This tasty Cashewnut Macaroons can be done at home with ease.Very special and a popular sweet of my husband's native place Tuticorin,Tamil Nadu. This will look like a white-crispy dewdrop when perfectly baked and will melt in ur mouth if properly done.U can try this recipe with Coconut(dessicated or grated or coconut milk Powder). Strict Vegetarians can try it Using Cornflour for Egg whites but it won't come as tasty as the Egg added Macaroons.Try this recipe at home and Enjoy Ur Teatime!.BonAppetit!.

Cashew Macaroons - A Sweet made with powdered cashews and sugar
Ingredients:
    5-6 egg whites, beaten well
    3/4 cup powdered sugar
    3/4 cup powdered cashewnuts
1 tbsp butter, to grease the baking tray

Directions:

1.Separate the egg whites and beat them well in a bowl till it becomes thick and does not fall when u hold the bowl upside-down using hand-mixer.
2.Finely powder sugar and cashewnuts separately in a mixer-grinder.
3.Add the powdered sugar to the beaten egg-whites mixture little by little and beat the mixture till it becomes creamy-white for 4 or more mins using hand-mixer.
4.Add the powdered cashews to this mixture and beat well for 2-3 mins.
5.Pre-heat the baking oven to 150 degree C.
6.Grease the baking tray with melted-butter.
7.Drop the beaten cashew dough as cone-shaped macaroons with enough gap between 2 macaroons.
8.Bake them for 12-15 mins or till the macaroons become white-crispy .It should not turn colour.
9.Allow it to cool.Serve them or keep the remaining Macaroons in fridge(like we store chocolates) to restore crispiness.U will get around 10 nos with this measurement.
