If u have few slices of bread and a handful of chopped Greens at home,try this Bread Greens Pakora to serve with Tea or with Sambar or Rasam or Kara Kuzhambu and Plain Steamed Rice.It can be done in a Jiffy in 6-7 mins time and this serves 4 nos.Use plain or the besanflour which U find good enough and add 1/4 tsp Asafoetida to it and mix it well with other mentioned spices.Try this recipe at home.Enjoy it anytime!. Bread Greens Pakora - Oil-roasted spicy besanflour coated Bread and Greens Pakoras
Ingredients:
4-5 slices Sandwich Bread (Don't use milk bread)
1 cup finely chopped Greens
1/2 cup Besan flour
a pinch of asafoetida
1/4 tsp chilli powder
2-3 tbsp water
1 garlic clove - crushed
1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
2 curry leaves - chopped
1/4 tsp Salt
200 ml refined oil
Directions
1.Mix besan flour with garlic cloves,shredded bread sliced,a pinch of asafoetida,salt,chilli powder,curry and coriander leaves and water.The batter should be as thick as dry and with no lumps .
2.Add the chopped Greens to the besanflour batter and Mix well.
3.Arrange the gramflour batter in shapeless pieces on a tray.Similarly make all the pakoras.
4. Heat oil in a kadai and deep-fry the shapeless pieces till it turns light brown on the sides.
5.Take this out.Place it on absorbent paper to remove excess oil and Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or coconut chutney.
