Anchovy Fish Fry(Nethili Meen Fry)

Anchovy fish (nethili meen) fry is a mouth-watering  fried item for any meal.This fry is done with a special spicy paste..If over-cooked,this fish gets de-shaped.Try and post ur comments.Enjoy this fish fry alone or with any meal.BonAppetit!.

Anchovy Fish Fry - Anchovy fishes are shallow-fried in oil with spices


Ingredients

250 gm anchovy fishes
2 tsp chilli powder
a pinch of turmeric powder
1 tsp salt or to taste
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp fennel seeds powder
2 sambar onions - paste
1/2 tsp fresh pepper powder
3/4 cup refined oil


Directions

1.Mix the spices paste and powder with chilli powder,turmeric powder,lemon juice and salt.
2.Apply this over all anchovy fishes and marinate for 1/2 hour.
3.Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan,shallow fry the fishes on both sides till golden brown.
4.Serve hot with rice and sambar or yoghurt.
