Mutton Potato Kuzhambu

Tasty and Mouth-watering Mutton Kuzhambu recipe is given here.This Kuzhambu gets thicker by adding Potatoes and the coconut paste.U can add coconut milk powder for paste.U can have it with Plain rice,Plain Breads, Indian Bread like Chapati,Parota,Idli,Dosa etc....This very Popular South-Tamilian Preparation is
called as 'Curry Kuzhambu'in South. Add ur valuable comments after trying this recipe.

Mutton Potato Kuzhambu:

Ingredients

500gm mutton pieces
1 tsp Chilli Powder
3/4 or 1tsp Dhania Powder
1/4 tsp jeera powder
1.4 tsp Freshly ground Pepper Powder
2 tsp freshly ground ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp curry masala powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/4 tsp salt
4 tbsp coconut- fennel seed(1 tsp) paste
2 - Potatoes -peeled and cut into pieces
2 tsp lemon juice
needed water
1 tbsp oil

For tempering:

2 brinji leaves,2 cloves,2 cardamoms,little cinnamon stick
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 finally chopped onion
finally chopped coriander leaves
finally chopped curry leaves
3 dry red chillies
tomatoes 2 no.s cut into pieces
2 green chillies-slit in the middle


Directions

1.Heat oil in a Pressure Pan and saute brinji leaves,2 cloves,2 cardamoms,little cinnamon stick,fennel seeds, dry chillies,chopped onions,2 green chillies,chopped tomatoesand curry leaves.
2.Put chilli powder, dhania powder, jeera powder, turmeric powder,pepper powder,ginger-garlic paste and needed salt one by one in order and saute well.
3.Put mutton Pieces and potato pieces next and mix them well for a minute and pour 3-4 cups of water and close the lid of the pressure pan.
4.Cook it for 10 minutes on good flame or upto 4 whistle.Then remove the pan from the flame and keep it aside.
5.After 10 minutes open the pressure pan and put it in flame again. Add coconut paste and cook for 5 mins.
6.Add chopped coriander leaves and cook for 2 minutes.
7.Sprinkle lemon juice on top and turn off the flame
8.Serve hot with rice or Bread or Indian Breads.
