Carrot Masala -a Microwave Recipe

This very tasty and colourful Carrot Masala can be served in 12 mins microwave cooking-time.This goes very well with rice and sambar or rasam or curd rice or chapathis.Try at home and post ur comments.

Carrot Masala (a Microwave Recipe) - Sliced Carrots cooked with spices

Ingredients
3 carrots -sliced fine into 2cm size
3 tbsp grated coconut-pasted fine with 1/2 tsp jeera and 1 green chilli
1 onion - chopped fine
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp salt
few curry leaves
few coriander leaves
1 cup water(if u want this dry-add 3/4 cup water)
2 tsp refined oil

Directions

1.Take a microwave bowl,add 2 tsp oil,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,chopped onions, curry leaves and M/W this on high for 2 mins.
2.Take the bowl out,add sliced carrots,coconut paste, coriander leaves,salt,chilli and turmeric powders and mix well.
3.Add 1 cup water and mix well.Microwave this on high for 9-12 mins.
4.Take the bowl out and mix well.If u r salad lovers,then u can take this with rice and sambar or rasam this time.If u like the veggies to be well-cooked, then add 1/2 cup water and microwave this on medium for 5 more mins.

Note:
1.Microwave cooking time varies every model .Check ur M/WOven manual b4 setting time.
2.I tried a dry version of this masala at times and found this so good(with coconut pasted coarsely and added 3/4 cup water in step:3.
