Apple Jalebi

The flavor or the taste of the original Jalebi gets retained in this Sweet. It is a very tasty teatime snack or a party sweet ( an ideal substitute for a Gulab jamun).U can try this dish with Pineapple,Banana or Iceapple slices.Tastes fine if gets soaked well but should not get too wet. This needs ur attention for 20 mins only.Try this at home and enjoy ur tea-time.

Apple Jalebi -Jalebi done with Apple slices

100 gm maida flour
2 apples (peeled ,deseeded and cut roundly)
100 gm sugar
50 ml refined oil
few cashewnuts,kismis,almonds(chopped)
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
water as required

1.Mix maida with salt,2 tbsp sugar, saltbaking powder and required water and mix this and keep this aside to settle thicker than idly flour.
2.Prepare sugar syrup with 200ml water, adding vanilla essence like Gulabjamun sugar syrup consistency.
3.Heat oil in a frying pan and dip the round apple slices in the batter and shallowfry this till it turns golden brown on both sides.
4.Dip this in the sugar syrup and spread this on a plate ,sprinkling little sugar and chopped nuts, kismis and almonds on top of each jalebi.
5.Sprinkle 1 tsp sugar syrup on top while serving the dish.Shd not get too wet but retain the moisture. If u need more sugar, just sprinkle and serve chilled.
