Oats Kesari

Wish U all a very Happy Pongal. This recipe states an easiest Dessert and an yumm Sweet that is usually done using Ghee-roasted Semolina and vermicelli. This needs 7-8 mins cooking time and serves 4 nos. Already, I've given the recipe of Pineapple Kesari done with Noodles here.  Try this tasty version of Simple Oats Kesari - when U are given a short time to prepare a delightful Dessert for unexpected Guests at home. U can try it adding Pineapple, Pomegranate and Orange. Enjoy Ur Meal!. Bonappetit!.

Oats Kesari
Ingredients:
3 tbsp Oats - ghee-roasted with 2 tsp ghee for 2 mins
60 gms sugar
a pinch of kesari powder or orange foodcolor
few ghee-roasted nuts and raisins
400 ml water
2-3 green cardamoms
2 tsp ghee
Directions:
1.Heat 2 tsp ghee in a non-stick Kadai. Ghee-roast nuts and raisins for 40 secs.Keep it aside.
2.Roast good quality Oats in the remaining 2 tsp ghee for 2 mins on medium flame with green cardamoms. Keep it aside
3.Heat water with food colour added in the same Kadai.
4.When it starts to boil, Stir-in ghee roasted Oats with cardamoms slowly and Keep on stirring for 2 mins till Oats get half- done.
5.Then,add the sugar and stir-cook till it gets mixed or the Oats gets done - adding 2 tsp ghee on top on low
flame for 2-3 mins. Turn off the flame when done.
6.Serve it hot or cold with ghee-roasted nuts and raisins on top.That's all!.
