Bread Pongal

Wish You all a very Happy Pongal. Hope U have started celebrating the Harvest Festival Pongal.This recipe states one of the easiest Pongal that can  made. It can be tried in 10 mins time and turned out really awesome in taste.U can add 150 ml lowfat boiled milk in place of coconut milk with 100 ml water. U can try this recipe with Poha(Aval),Oats,Noodles, Pasta, Wheat granules,Vermicelli,Sago(Javarisi),Ragi Granules,Soy Granules, Basmati or raw rice etc. Here is the recipe for you to try at home. Enjoy Easy Dessert at home!. Enjoy Ur Meal!. BonAppetit!.

Bread Pongal
Ingredients:
5-6 bread slices - shredded fine and ghee-roasted for a min on low flame
50 gms yellow Mungdal (Split) - Pressure-cooked upto 4 whistles and mashed
3/4 cup fresh coconutmilk( + 3/4 cup second coconut milk)
130 - 150gms Jaggery - made into syrup and strained with 1 cup water
1 tbsp grated coconut
1/4 tsp cardamom powder or 3 Green cardamoms
few ghee roasted cashews and Raisins
Directions:
1.Take a kadai and  add ghee-roasted bread (shredded),cardamoms or cardamom powder and second coconutmilk and stir-cook for a min till it gets thick.
2.Now add the jaggery syrup and Mix it well for 2 mins.
3.Add the first coconutmilk or milk and Stir-cook for 2 mins.
4.Add ghee roasted raisins and cashewnuts.
6.Serve it hot anytime or after a filling meal.
