Cabbage Carrot Stir fry - a Microwave Recipe

Very tasty side dish to go with mutton curry and rice. This highly nutritious stirfry requires just about 10 mins microwave cooking time.If u need the cabbage and carrot to be tender,just add 1/4 cup water more and m/w on high for 2-3 more mins.Try at home and enjoy Your meal.Bon Appetit!.

Cabbage Carrot Stir fry (a Microwave Recipe)- Shredded Cabbage and carrot stirfried with spices


Ingredients:

2 cups finely chopped Cabbage
1 cup grated carrot
1 finely chopped onion
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 finely chopped green chilli
few curry leaves
few coriander leaves
3/4 tsp salt
70ml water
2 tsp refined oil(optional)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds(optional)
1/2 tsp split urad dhal(optional)
1 tbsp gramdhal (optional)-soaked in warm water for10 mins
2 whole red chillies(optional)
2 tsp grated coconut(optional

Directions:

1.Take a microwave bowl, mix chopped onions, finely cut cabbage,grated carrot,gramdhal, cumin seeds, chopped green chilli,curry leaves,coriander leaves and salt so that this is evenly spread.
2.Sprinkle 70 ml water over it.
3.Microwave on High for 6 mins(stir it once after 4 mins). Take the bowl out.
4.In another bowl,put oil, mustard seeds,split urad dhal and red chillies.Microwave on High for a min.
5.Add this seasoning to the Cabbage bowl with grated coconut,mix well and Microwave on High for 2 more mins.
6.Take that out and serve this tasty Cabbage-Carrot Stir fry with rice and mutton curry or sambar.
