Yogurt Chicken Masala(Dahi Murg)

This Yogurt Chicken is extremely tasty,tender and easy to make. Gravy of this chicken is thick and creamy. This Chicken look-alike and taste like Chicken Tikka masala. This easy to do Chicken needs 15 mins cooking time  and serves 4 nos. This Chicken Masala has an yumm taste that can go with Rice and Indian Breads. Enjoy Easy Cooking at home!. Enjoy Ur Meal!. Yogurt Chicken Masala(Dahi Murg)
Ingredients:
1/2 kg chicken pieces - boneless preferred
100 ml cup Yogurt - Lowfat
1 medium sized Onion - finely sliced
1 medium sized tomato - pasted fine(optional)
1 1/2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
4 to 5  green chillies - slit lengthwise
1/3 tsp red chilli powder
1/5 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp any good Chicken or subzi Masala
1/4 tsp freshly crushed peppercorns
1/2 tsp salt - to taste
1 tsp sugar
few chopped coriander leaves
2 tsp refined oil
1/2 cup - water salt to taste
Directions:
1.Clean the chicken pieces.Grind tomato into  a fine paste using a Mixer-Grinder. Beat the yogurt with a spoon till it becomes creamy.
2.Take a bowl and add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,Chicken Masala,1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste with some salt and 2 tbsp yogurt.Mix it well and marinate the chicken pieces in this yogurt mixture.Keep this marination in the fridge for half an hour.
3.Heat oil in a pressure-pan and saute the onion slices for 2 mins.Add tomato paste with the remaining ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Saute this for  3 - 4 mins till it becomes half and done.
4.Add the marinated chicken and add 70 - 100 ml water and salt.Mix well and cover and pressure-cook upto 4 whistles.
5.Open the lid after the pressure is released.Add the remaining yogurt and sugar. stir it for 2-3 mins on medium - low flame till it thickens.
6.Sprinkle garam masala,freshly crushed pepper powder and chopped coriander leaves.stir-Cook it for 3 mins.
7.Serve it hot with steamed rice or Naan or Roti or other Indian Breads.
