Mango-Ginger Pickle - a Microwave Recipe

This is an instant pickle or thokku which needs little microwave cooking in the process.U can stir-fry this for 7-8 mins continuously to get it done on gas. This pickle tastes better than Mango pickle and very good for health too.This can be kept upto 5 days or even a week's time if preserved properly or refrigerated.Try this recipe at home and enjoy Sambar rice,Curd rice etc.

Mango-Ginger Pickle - Pickle made with Chopped Mango and Ginger


    1 Raw Mango - chopped fine
    2 tbsp grated Ginger
    1 tsp chilli powder
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds(powdered)
    1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder
    1/2 tsp Mustard seeds(powdered)
    1 tsp Salt
    2 tbsp Lemon juice or 1 tsp vinegar
    1 tbsp refined oil
    few curry leaves(optional)


    1.Mix salt with chopped raw mango and ginger and leave it for 2 hours.
    2.Then mix all the other ingredients with this and microwave this for 4-5 mins on high.
    3.That's all!.
