This recipe narrates u the preparation of tasty pan-fried Mutton to try at home. Very easy to do too(needs

Varutha Kari(Pan-Fried Mutton) - Mutton fried with selected spices
Ingredients
1/2 kg mutton pieces-boneless,cleaned well
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp fresh pepper powder
2 garlic cloves
1 cm ginger pieces
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
3/4 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp curry masala powder
3 tbsp grated coconut
1 cm cinnamon stick
1 clove
1 cardamom
1 tbsp refined oil + 2 tsp oil
1 1/4 tsp salt or needed
few curry and coriander leaves
1 tsp white pepper powder
200ml + 100ml water
Directions
1.Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and add mutton pieces with 3/4 tsp chilli powder and turmeric powder and saute for 2 mins.
2.Add 200ml water and close this with a lid and let it cook for 8 mins ie.more than half-cooked,stir-fry at-times.
3.Meanwhile,grind ginger and garlic into a fine paste.
4.Grind the fennel seeds,grated coconut,cinnamon stick,clove and cardamom together.
5.Add 1 tbsp oil,pepper powder,salt,ginger-garlic paste,curry masala powder and curry leaves to the half- cooked mutton and stir for 2 mins.
6.Add the ground masala and chopped coriander leaves and 100ml water and let this cook for 10 more mins, stirring at-times(till water runs dry).
7.Sprinkle white pepper powder and mix this well for 20 secs and turn off the flame.
8.Serve this hot with rice or Indian breads etc, along with lemon wedges and onion rings.
