Prawns in Spicy Tomato Sauce

Prawns in Spicy Tomato Sauce - Prawns done in spices and with tomato sauce

This can be done quickly in 15 mins time by doing the sauce and the prawns simultaneously to save time.This
prawns in T. sauce can be served with steamed rice,jeera rice,spaghetti,Pasta,Indian breads etc.Try this at home and enjoy.
Ingredients:
200 gms prawns - cleaned well and de-veined
2 tomatoes-peeled after put in boiling water for 1-2 mins and pulsed fine.
3 tbsp tomato puree - ready-made
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion- chopped fine
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds(optional)
few curry leaves(optional)
3-4 garlic cloves-chopped fine
1 bay leaf-crushed
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp + 1 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp freshly chopped parsley
1 tsp butter
1 tsp black pepper powder-fresh
200ml water
few coriander leaves - chopped 

Directions:

    1.Add the cleaned prawns,turmeric powder,chilli powder,ginger-garlic paste,salt,garam masala powder,few coriander leaves with 300ml water.Add 1 tsp vinegar in step1.this will make the prawns shrink least while cooking.Cook for 10-12 mins or till water runs dry on good flame.
    2.Take a non-stick saucepan,add butter and olive oil with mustard seeds(optional),chopped onions,
crushed bay leaf,curry leaves(optional) and chopped garlic and saute this for a min or two on good flame.
    3.Add the pulsed tomato,tomato puree,dried oregano,sugar into the onions and stir-cook for 5 mins atleast on a good flame.
    4.Add 1 tsp salt and black pepper powder.Stir this for 3 more mins.
    5.Now,add the 10-12 mins done prawns to this gravy with chopped parsley and lemon juice and stir-cook
this for 4-5 mins more.This prawns in tomato sauce can be served with steamed rice,jeera rice,spaghetti, Pasta, Indian breads etc.
