Potato Spicy Masala - a MicroWave Recipe

Easy and tasty side dish for Rice, Chapathis etc. requires 5 mins microwave cooking only(after boiling the
potatoes for 10 mins with water or using M/W).This can accompany variety rices and come back to express ur views.Bon Appetit!.

Potato Spicy Masala - a M/W Recipe - Potato pieces cooked with spices


3 medium size potato- boiled and peeled
1 onion-chopped
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp salt
few curry leaves
few coriander leaves
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2 tsp refined oil


1.Boil potatoes in a pan with enough water for 15 mins.Remove the potatoes and wash with ordinary water for 1 min and peel off the skin.Cut the potatoes into bite size pieces.
2.Mix all the ingredients well with potato pieces so that the masala gets evenly spread.
3.Microwave on high for 5 mins.
4.Serve this tasty potato masala with rice and sambar or rasam or Curd or chapathis (add 1/2 cup water to
the masala before microwaving).
