Baby Potato Coconutmilk Gravy

This recipe states a tasty Coconutmilk Gravy that can be served with rice or indian breads.This can be done
in 20 mins time .Taste this fine aromatic Coconutmilk Gravy and Bon Appetit!.

Baby Potato Coconutmilk Gravy - Baby potatoes cooked with spices in coconut milk

Ingredients

15 baby potatoes -150 to 200gms
1 onion - grated or chopped fine
2 tbsp tomato puree
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 jeera
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp fresh pepper powder
1 tsp garam masala or curry masala powder
1 tsp mutton masala powder
1 tsp fresh ginger-garlic paste
3-4 tbsp coconutmilk powder
salt - to taste
few curry and coriander leaves
1/2 tsp lemon juice(optional)
2 tsp refined oil
1/2 tsp coconut oil

Directions

1.Wash the potatoes clean.Dissolve 3-4 tbsp coconutmilk powder in 300 ml warm water and keep this aside.
2.Take a microwave bowl and add 700ml water.Put the baby potatoes and microwave this on high for 6-7 mins (till half-cooked).
3.Take the bowl out and allow this to cool.Peel off the skin and prick the potatoes with a fork.
4.Heat oil in a kadai and saute the mustard seeds,jeera,grated onion in oil till golden brown.
5.Add curry leaves,ginger garlic paste and tomato puree and stir for 2 more mins on good flame.
6.Add chilli powder,pepper powder,garam masala,mutton masala powder,salt and coriander leaves.Saute this
for a min.
7.Add half-the coconutmilk and when it begins to boil,add the baby potatoes and cover and cook for 7 more
mins.
8.Add the remaining coconut milk and sprinkle 1/2 tsp coconut oil on top and cook for 5 more mins.
9.Sprinkle 1/2 tsp lemon juice on top and Serve this hot with rice or indian breads and bread slices.
