Crab Curry

This Crab Curry is done in a Jiffy with selective spices.U need just 15 mins cooking time for this special Curry
which serves 4 nos.This dish is done with fresh crabs marinated in homemade ground masala and cooked till done.This recipe brings home alive the Coastal Flavors of TamilNadu.It remarkably tastes diferent and will keep ur tastebuds tingling for more.Try this dish at home and enjoy your meal!.Bon Appetit!.

Crab Curry- Crabs cooked in spicy Curry Sauce

Ingredients:
    500gms Crab(4 Crabs atleast)
    (1 cm cinnamon stick,1 clove,1 cardamom and 1 bayleaf - crushed)
    1 tsp curry masala
    1 tbsp refined oil
    few coriander leaves
    few curry leaves
    350ml water
    1 tsp salt
    Finely Ground Masala of ( 1 medium sized onion,1 medium sized tomato,4 garlic cloves,2 red chillies,1 inch size ginger piece,1 tsp black peppercorns,1/2 tsp fennel seeds,1/4 tsp cumin seeds,2 tbsp grated coconut) 
For cleaning:
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp lemon juice

Directions

    1.Clean the crabs(little removing the shells) with turmeric powder,salt and lemon juice.
    2.Finely grind red chillies,ginger,garlic,cumin seeds,fennel seeds,pepper corns and grated coconut in a mixer-grinder adding 50 ml water and add onion and tomato last and grind it into a smooth paste.keep it aside.
    3.Heat oil in a pressure pan,add 1 cm cinnamon stick,1 clove,1 cardamom and 1 bayleaf-crushed and curry leaves .Stir-fry this for 30 secs.
    4.Add the ground masala(without adding water) and 1 tsp any good curry masala.Stir it well.Cook it for 4 mins till oil begins to leave the masala on good flame
    5.Add the cleaned crabs,300ml water,chopped coriander leaves,salt and stir it well.Cover the pressure pan with a lid and cook upto 10 -12 more mins(without whistle) till done or becomes a thick gravy on good flame.
    6.Serve this Crab Curry hot with rice,bread slices or Indian Breads.Bon Appetit!.

Tips:
U can do it in a kadai keeping it covered but it takes 2 mins more atleast to get it done.
