Crab Masala

Nothing can match the taste of a well prepared Crab - if done with selective spices.This dish is done with fresh crabs marinated in homemade ground masala and stir-cooked till semi-dry.U will fell in love with this Masala which  is a tantalising treat for ur tastebuds.Try this dish at home and enjoy your meal!.Bon Appetit!.

Crab Masala - Stir-cooked Crabs in spicy masala


Ingredients

    500gms Crab(4 Crabs atleast)
    6 garlic cloves
    2 green chillies
    1 inch size ginger piece
    1 tsp black peppercorns
    2 tsp fennel seeds
    2 tsp kus-kus or poppy seeds
    1 tsp garam masala
    1 tsp cumin seeds
    2 tbsp grated coconut
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp refined oil
    few coriander leaves
    few curry leaves
    250ml water

For cleaning:

    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp lemon juice

Directions

    1.Grind coarsely green chillies,ginger,garlic,cumin seeds,half the fennel seeds,pepper corns,grated coconut and poppy seeds together in a mixer-grinder.keep this aside.
    2.Clean the crabs(little removing the shells) with turmeric powder,salt and lemon juice.
    3.Heat oil in a non-stick pan,saute the remaining fennel seeds and curry leaves for a min.
    4.Add cleaned crabs,ground masala and garam masala.Mix them well.
    5.Add 250ml water,chopped coriander leaves and the needed salt and stir-cook for 12-15 mins till it becomes semi-dry.
    6.Serve this Crab Masala hot with rice,bread slices or Indian Breads.Bon Appetit!.
