Crispy Onion Mutton Fry

Whenever I prepare this dish,this will be finished in mins(Watch over the dish till the Lunch is served).So tasty is this dish that it can be taken alone or with rice and sambar or curd rice or coconut rice or with Indian breads.Try this at home.Bon Appetit!.Post ur comments.

Crispy Onion Mutton Fry - Mutton fried with onion and spices

Ingredients

250 gm mutton pieces -cut into bite sized pieces
100 gm sambar onions- peeled and cut into thin slices
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala or curry masala powder
few curry and coriander leaves
1 tsp salt-to taste
1 tbsp refined oil
200ml water
3 - 4 tbsp grated coconut(optional)

Directions

1.Clean the mutton pieces and pressure cook them upto 5 whistles with water or till steam stops coming out of the pressure pan.
2.Leave it for 10 mins till the pressure is released.Mix the mutton pieces with chilli powder,garam or curry masala powder, curry and coriander leaves, salt and onion slices. Mix this well. No need for marination.
3.Heat oil in a kadai. Add the onion slices.Saute this for 3-4 mins till this becomes crispy.
4.Add the mutton pieces along with spices and saute this for 4-5 mins till this becomes dry.
5.Serve this hot with rice and sambar or curd rice or coconut rice.
