Potato Pepper Stirfry - (a Microwave Recipe)

I learned this tasty recipe from my family friend Mrs.Sweety Wilson.Since then,it has become one of our fav dishes.So special is the recipe - that I thought to share it with You.This will go well with rice,sambar, curd or any Indian Breads.Try this recipe at home.Enjoy ur Cooking!.Bon Appetit!.

Potato Pepper Stirfry - (a Microwave Recipe) - Potato cooked with pepper and spices

Ingredients:

3 big potatoes-cleaned well
1 big onion-sliced
1 tsp fresh black pepper powder
1 tsp white pepper powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
4 tbsp grated coconut
1 tbsp coarse paste of (2 garlic cloves,1 cm size ginger,1 small green chilli,1 sambar onion,1 tsp cumin powder and one handful of roasted and skinless peanuts-optional)
1 tsp salt
few curry leaves - chopped
few coriander leaves - chopped
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp split urad dal
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp refined oil
50ml water

Directions:

    1.Boil the potatoes in a microwave bowl with enough water for 10 mins in microwave high.Remove the
potatoes and wash with ordinary water for a min and peel off the skin.Cut the potatoes into bite size pieces.
    2.Take another microwave bowl,add refined oil,mustard seeds,split urad dal,cumin seeds,sliced onions
and curry leaves.Mix this well and microwave for 2 mins in High.
    3.Mix all the other ingredients well(turmeric powder,white pepper powder,black pepper powder,ground
masala,coriander leaves and salt with potato pieces so that the masala gets evenly spread).
    4.Add the grated coconut,boiled potato pieces and 50 ml water to the onion bowl and mix this well Microwave on medium-high for 10 mins.
    5.Serve this tasty Potato Pepper Masala hot with rice and sambar or rasam or Curd or chapathis,etc.
