Veg Kara Kuzhi Paniyaram - Kara(spicy) Kuzhi paniyaram

Try this recipe the day u are making the Idli batter(taken well before fermenting it).This shd be served with ketchup of ur choice or chutney.This kuzhi paniyaram recipe can also be tried with mixed-fruits,sugar,coconut milk and appam batter .Try this at home and enjoy these kuzhi paniyarams at tea-time.

Veg Kara Kuzhi Paniyaram - Kara(spicy) Kuzhi paniyaram done using mixed veggies

Ingredients :

350 ml fresh Idli batter with salt added
1 tbsp fresh yoghurt
2 tbsp semolina
100 gms mixed vegetables(shredded babycorn-1 no,1 carrot -grated,3 tbsp grated cabbage,2 french beans-
chopped fine,finely chopped coriander leaves,chopped celery,chopped parsley,etc)
1 onion-chopped fine
2 green chillies -chopped fine
3 tbsp grated coconut
1/4 tsp grated ginger
2 tbsp crushed ghee-roasted cashewnuts
1/4 tsp cooking soda
30 ml water-less than a cup
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp ghee mixed with 2 tbsp refined oil
few curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp split urad dal
2 tsp refined oil-for tadka

Directions:

    1.This shd be done the day u prepare the Idli batter(taken well before fermenting it.
    2.Heat 2 tsp oil and do tadka with mustard seeds,split urad dal,chopped onions and curry leaves.
    3.Mix this tadka and other ingredients leaving oil .Ghee should be added to the Idli batter and mixed well.
    4.Grease oil-ghee mixture in Kuzhi Paniyaram mould and heat it in a medium flame.
    5.Add 2 tbsp paniyaram mix batter to the holes and turn the sides when done-till they turn into golden brown in colour on both sides.
    6.Serve these Veg kara Kuzhi Paniyaram with Coconut chutney or tomato ketchup.
