Ezy Apple Masala

This recipe is a tasty traditional Curry of Srilanka prepared with an Indian Touch - adding the coconut sauce. Its one of the tangy fruit masala and a fruity treat to ur tastebuds.I tried this dish 4 years before for the first time and enjoyed it very much. You can do the same masala using Pineapple,Grapes,Plums,firm banana,FirmMango, etc., with fruits of your choice.A healthy and delicious mixture of Fruits with Masala.This needs less than 15 mins to prepare.Try this recipe at home,Enjoy and come back to post ur feedback.Bon Appetit!.

Ezy Apple Masala - a Healthy and delicious Apple Masala

Ingredients:

Apple - 2 no.s(peeled and cut into 2cm cubes)
onion - 1 no(half finely chopped and half sliced lengthwise)
tomato - 1 no (finely chopped)
chilli powder - 1 tsp
pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
Garlic - 1 clove(crushed)
Ginger - 1cm cube(crushed)
green chillies - 3 no.s (cut in the middle)
chopped coriander leaves - little
chopped curry leaves - little
cocunut paste with 1tsp fennel seeds - 3 tbsp
Refined oil - 1 tsp
VVD Coconut oil - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1tsp
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

Directions:

1.Mix the apple pieces with all spices masala except coconut paste and keep aside for 5 mins.
2.Heat both the oils , put mustard seeds,cumin seeds then finely chopped onions(half),tomato pieces, curry
leaves and coriander leaves.saute for 2 mins.
3.Add the apple masala mix and put coconut paste and 1 cup water.cook for 8-10 mins and keep aside.
4.Garnish with coriander and curry leaves.
5.You can have this Apple Curry with Rice, Chapathis, Idlis and Dosas.
