Caramelized Banana with Ice-cream and Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
2 ripe and firm bananas-chopped into i inch size pieces
1/2 cup powdered sugar - dissolved in 3/4 cup water and boiled for 10 mins
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp butter
1 kg butterscotch ice cream or vanilla or mango ice cream
For Chocolate sauce:
1/4 cup cocoa powder or chocolate flakes
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup water
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp maida flour-dissolved in 2 tbsp water
few crushed cashews,crushed pistachios - for garnishing
Directions
1.Prepare the chocolate sauce:
Dissolve sugar in water.Heat the sugar dissolved water,chocolate flakes or cocoa powder and stir for 3 mins. Add butter and maida flour and mix well.Stir continuously for 12 mins till t comes in thick consistency like chocolate sauce.
2.Prepare the caramelized Sugar:Heat the caramelized sugar(sugar dissolved water-boiled for 10 mins) and add vanilla essence and mix well for 2 mins.Heat Butter in a sauce pan and saute the banana pieces till light brown in colour for 20-30 secs b4 it starts to melt, add caramelized sugar and mix well for 10 secs.Turn off the flame and add honey and mix the sauted-banana pieces well.
3.Serving:
Take 6 large ice-cream cup, place the caramelized banana first then put 1 scoop Butterscotch Ice-cream,
then put 1 tbsp caramelized banana and then place 2 scoops ice-creams over it.Add the chocolate sauce
around the edges and few crushed cashews and crushed pistachios on top and serve this chilled.
