Malai Chicken Curry Richly aromatic Chicken in Creamy Sauce
Ingredients:
300 gms chicken pieces
1 onion - sliced
paste of 1 onion with 1 tomato
2 green chillies chillies
2 cloves, 2 cardamoms,1 cm chinnamon stick,1 bay leaf
1 tbsp Lowfat cream
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp curry masala powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp chopped coriander
3/4 tsp salt to taste
2 tsp refined oil
Directions:
1.Heat oil in a pressure-pan.add green chillies,cloves,cardamom,cinnamon stick and bay leaf.Fry till bay leaf turns golden brown.
2.Add the onion and saute it for 2 mins and onion tomato paste and ginger - garlic paste and saute it 4 minutes.
3.Add the chicken pieces and sprinkle in chilli powder,dhania powder,cumin powder and turmeric powder and mix well for 2 mins.Cover and pressure-cook the chicken pieces, salt (add 100 ml water if needed) and cook for upto 4 whistles.
4.Add the curry masala and coriander leaves and the cream and cook for a few mins .
5,Serve it hot with rice or Indian Breads anytime.
