Stuffed Semolina Laddu

The recipe of  healthy and yumm dates stuffed Balls(Laddu or Rolls) is given here to try at home. This baked Laddu tastes divinely good if  done perfectly. Kids will luv it and  this needs 20 - 25 mins baking time to serve 5 - 6 nos. U can do stuffing in varieties like grated coconut and sugar or jaggery filling or dates + sugar + grated coconut stuffing or peanuts + sugar or jaggery + grated coconut stuffing or the same done with white sesame seeds or gramdal and jaggery with grated coconut filling or Choco - Dates filling etc. Enjoy Easy Bake at home!. BonAppetit!.

Stuffed Semolina Laddu(Rolls)
Ingredients
3/4 cup roasted semolina - pulsed 3-4 times
1/4 to 1/3 cup refined flour
2 tbsp powdered sugar
20 gms butter + 2 tsp to grease the tray
50 ml lowfat milk or needed
a pinch of vanilla powder or a drop of extract
a inch of salt
1 tsp baking powder

For the Stuffing
15 - 20 dates - desseded and pulsed (3 times for 4 secs ) with a pinch of cardamom powder + 1 tsp powdered sugar(optional)
15 pistachios pulsed
15 gms choco flakes
Directions:
1.knead roasted semolina with refined flour, baking powder and powdered sugar.Mix it with a spatula.
2.Add vanilla powder or extract, salt and butter and mix it well.
3.Add enough milk and make it a rough dough(like chapati dough).
4.Spread it into goose berry and lemon sized balls and spread them into 3  and 4 inch width small and thick round and square shaped puris. Keep it aside.
5.Preheat the Oven to 180 C.
6.Take half the dates stuffing and mix it with pistachios and the remaining with choco flakes. Make olive sized balls for the stuffing.
7.Place choco-dates stuffing in the 3 inch wide thick puris and dates + pista stuffing in 4 inch wide puris.Seal the ends (just how u do dumplings) and shape it round or roll.
8.Grease the baking tray with butter and dust it and place the semolina balls and rolls keeping equal space between them.
9.Bake it at the centre tray position for 22-27 mins till done or  till the edges turn light brown.
10. Leave it for 15 mins and serve it with Tea/Coffee.

Tips: It needs less baking time or done quickly in smaller OTG Oven. Hence adjust the timing according to ur manual.
