Healthy Ellurundai

Dried Figs can be used in Desserts and snacks otherwise done as pancakes or appam or adai or salad or soup.Its healthy and can be done with sesame seeds and black Jaggery(Karuppu Katti) as sweet balls.U can use Jaggery or sugar if Black-Jaggery is not available and fresh grated ginger for Sukku(dry-ginger).Try this simple yet healthy and mild in sweetness sesame sweet balls for teatime.U need 7 mins time for this dish and this serves 4-5 nos. Good for all at home.Enjoy Ur Meal!.BonAppetit!.

Healthy Ellurundai - Dried Figs and dates done with black sesame seeds as sweet
Ingredients:
50 gms Dried Figs(Ular athi Pazham)- chopped
7 dates - deseeded and chopped
50 gm black sesame seeds
50 gms Jaggery or Black Jaggery - crushed
1/4 tsp cardamom powder or dry ginger powder
1 tsp gingely oil - for shaping the balls
Directions.
1.Pulse the chopped Figs and dates once for 2-3 secs.Gather it in a bowl.
2.Dry roast the black sesame seeds for 2-3 mins on medium flame.
3.Once U smell the the dry roasting aroma of the seeds,just turn the flame low and add crushed black jaggery or Jaggery and cardamom Powder or Dry ginger Powder and stir it for a min  and turn off the flame.Allow it to cool.
4.Add the pulsed dry figs-dates mixture and mix it well.(U can add figs as such or M/W it on high for a min and add but no M/Wing needed for dates).
5.Shape this into small balls by applying little gingely oil in hands and serve it warm.
