Pineapple Fish Curry

This Chinese style Fish curry recipe is done adding Pineapple pulp and yielded this very fine flavored sweet and sour fish curry.U can try this Tangy and Spicy Fish Curry on Special Occasions or for variation.This serves 4-5 nos.Can be done in 20 mins Cooking time.Delicious Fish recipe to try at home.U can add the mustard seeds and curry leaves seasoning in the end -if U wish to.U can try this recipe with Chicken,Prawns and Tapioca  for variations or even use Orange instead of Pineapple in this recipe.Enjoy Easy Cooking at home.Enjoy Ur Meal!. Pineapple Fish Curry -Chinese Style Fish curry done using Pineapple pulp with sweet and sour Taste


Ingredients

    400 gm seer fish fillets or any good fish fillets - cut into bite-sized pieces
    a pinch of turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp + 1/2 chilli powder
    1 tbsp  butter
    1 onion-sliced fine
    1 tsp grated ginger
    3 garlic cloves-crushed
    1 tsp freshly ground pepper
    1 tsp lemon juice
    2 tsp soy sauce
    1 tsp sugar
    2 tbsp tomato puree
    2-3 pineapple slices - pulsed or little over 1/4 cup pineapple pulp
    1 tsp salt-or needed salt
    2 tsp olive oil
    few coriander leaves

Directions

    1.Rub turmeric powder,lemon juice,salt and 1/2 tsp chilli powder on fish pieces.
    2.Heat half the butter in a flat pan and fry fish pieces over medium heat for about 2 mins per side.Remove and set it aside.
    4.Heat olive oil in the same pan and saute sliced onion,ginger and garlic cloves for 2 mins.
    5.Add  tomato puree,1/2 tsp chilli powder and stir-cook for 2 mins and then add pulsed pineapple and simmer for 2 mins.
    6.After that,add Soy sauce and stir it well for a min and then add the slightly fried fish pieces and mix it
well adding 1 tsp white pepper powder and chopped coriander leaves.
    7.cook for 7-8 more mins stirring occasionally (till the fish gets cooked and done).Serve this fish curry with
steamed rice and plain fresh yoghurt.

pineapple and soy sauce in fish.. interesting combination.. while reading through, i was thinking it will make a great evening snack too :)
