Chicken Shawarma

This is a very famous road-side snack in the Middle East  and can be tried at home easily if u get a chance to buy pita bread.Otherwise U can try this recipe with bread slices or Indian breads.U will luv it at first-bite. Enjoy it anytime!.Bonappetit!.

Chicken Shawarma - Shredded chicken pieces served with Mayo rolled in Pita Bread.


Ingredients:
4 pita breads
150 gms boneless chicken - chopped into 2 cm pieces
1 tsp lime juice
1 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp ginger paste
3 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp garlic sauce
few lettuce leaves
2 tbsp veg salad with cucumber+sweetcorn + shredded cheese or veg pickle(optional)
50 gms french fries(optional)

Directions

1.Marinate chicken with lime juice,garlic ginger paste and l/4 tsp salt for 15 mins.
2.Grill the chicken pieces a skewer in microwave 8 mins and then 6 more mins the other side.
3.In a bowl mix mayonnaise,garlic sauce for 2 mins to make it thick.
4.Take the chicken pieces from the skewer and  cut in to pieces.Mix it with Step 1 Garlic sauce.
5.Spread this chicken pieces on pita with 1-2 tbsp of step 1 Mayo-garlic sauce,chopped lettuce leaves and top it with  3-4 French fries and 1 tsp veg salad or pickle.
6.Roll the pita bread and serve it hot with tomato or mustard sauce.
