Very tasty and easy to do Coriander thokku to try at home. Mix 2 or 3 tbsp of this paste with 1 or 2 tsp gingely oil or ghee and serve with rice,idly, Dosa & Chappathi etc.,U can store this thokku for 5 days time in the fridge - if properly used.Try this at home and Post ur comments.
Fresh Coriander Thokku - Coriander leaves ground with required spices
Ingredients
3 bunches fresh Coriander Leaves-chopped
1 cm ginger piece
1 garlic pearl
gooseberry size tamarind
4 - 5 whole red chillies
1 tsp uraddal
a pinch of asafoetida
1 tsp salt or needed salt
1 tbsp refined oil or gingely oil
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions
1.Heat oil in a kadai and saute coriander leaves for a min.
2.Allow this to cool and grind this together( with all other ingredients including lemon juice) into a fine paste .
3.saute the coriander paste with 2 tsp refined oil + 1 tsp coconut oil for 5-6 mins to improve the taste of the dish till the rawness of the coriander diminishes.
4.Mix 2 or 3 tbsp of this paste with 1 or 2 tsp gingely oil or coconut oil or ghee and serve with rice,idly, Dosa & Chappathi etc.
