Banana Butterscotch - Banana pieces in butterscotch sauce
Ingredients:
2 large bananas-chopped into 1 inch thin slices
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
50 ml honey
5 tbsp powdered sugar
3 tbsp butterscotch Ice cream powder-pasted in 50 ml warm milk
1 tsp corn flour-pasted in 2 tbsp warm milk
5 tbsp caramelised cashews
4 tbsp crushed pineapple jelly-for garnishing
500gm Ice cream of ur choice
Directions
1.Heat butter,honey and brown sugar in a non-stick kadai on low flame for 4-5 mins.
2.Add butterscotch ice cream powder -pasted,corn flour-pasted milk,sugar powdered and caramelised cashews on good flame for 2-mins.
3.Add banana pieces and Mix this well for few secs carefully so that the banana pieces shouldn't be crushed
much.
4.Cool it for 12 mins in freezer and serve it with scoops of any Ice cream of ur choice on top and with crushed pineapple jelly.
Tips:
1.It can be tried better if u add the banana slices after preparing butterscotch sauce in step 2 and saute this for few seconds so that it blends well in butterscotch sauce.
2.Break 15 whole cashews into small pieces and heat a non-stick kadai adding 4 tbsp sugar and the cashews
together.Saute this on low flame for 4-5 mins till the cashews get well-caramelised and little brown in colour.
