This recipe states the procedure for a mouthwatering Banana Cake.Its an easy c(b)ake but requires 3-5 mins extra time for baking than the time required for a plain cake. This requires 25 mins minimum baking time at 180 C (at the Centre Tray Position) . U can try it as a combo with Vanilla, Badham,Choco or carrot. Enjoy this Banana Cake with Tea/Coffee or after a filling Meal or anytime.U can try to serve it topped with grated nuts or coloured balls or with a cream topping. Enjoy it at home!.BonAppetit!.
Banana Cake - Cake made with chopped Banana
Ingredients
125 gm refined flour - sifted
2 - 3 or 300 gms Banana - Firm n Chopped fine
1 tsp baking powder
70 ml water
30 ml refined oil
1 well beaten egg (optional but this increases the taste and the fluffiness)
20 gm butter and 1 tbsp butter to grease the tray
75 gm castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
20 gms cashews or nuts - chopped fine
Directions
1.Preheat the oven to 180 C .
2.Sift together refined flour and baking powder.keep it aside.
3.Cream butter and castor sugar and then add the beaten egg and whisk the mixture.
4.Add the plain flour mixture,refined oil,vanilla extract and cashewnuts and mix(fold) it well for 2-3 mins.
5.Then add chopped Banana to it and mix (fold)it well for a min or 2.
6.Grease the cake tin with butter and bake for 25 - 30 mins in the middle rack(Check with a skewer,inserting to the cake mixture,till it comes out clean).Leave it undisturbed for 30 mins.
7.Serve it with tea / coffee topped with the remaining nuts on top.
