Idli - Bread Jamun

This is a different and tasty option to prepare Jamun, when u have little gulab-jamun mix left over and still compelled to do the Jamun.No need to rush to ur nearby shop if u  have few bread slices(and one idly leftover) to try this Yummy Bread Jamun(or Idli-bread Jamun) and enjoy it with ur family or loved ones.The taste differs slightly from the original but yumm.Try it at home to see how it tastes.Enjoy Ur teatime!.

Idli-Bread Jamun - Jamun made using Idli and bread with milk powder and mawa

Ingredients
1  Idli-mashed(optional)
6 bread slices -edges removed and mashed
2 tbsp  any good milk powder like nido
4-5 tbsp any good gulab jamun mix
1-2 tbsp mawa (khoya)
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp corn flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 cups water
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp pure ghee
150 ml refined oil 

Directions
1.Heat water,sugar and vanilla essence in a vessel to make one-string consistency sugar syrup.Keep this aside.
2.In a bowl,add mashed idli,mashed bread slices,mawa,milk powder,gulab jamun-mix,corn flour,3 tbsp powdered sugar and baking powder.Knead this to make a fine dough.Shape this into 1 1/2 cm size balls(u will get over 20 no.s).
3.Heat ghee & oil in a kadai and fry these kneaded balls at low flame till golden brown.
4.Put these fried balls in the step 1 sugar syrup and Bring it to a boil for a min.
5.When it begins to boil,turn off the flame and cool this till it gets to the room temperature.
6.yummy Idli-Bread Jamun is ready to be served as sweet in family get-togethers.That's all!.Enjoy ur Evening!.
