Yumm and moist Vanilla flavored Custard Cake recipe is given to try at home.It can be done quick effortlessly with readily available ingredients at home.U can add plain lowfat yoghurt for milk or refined oil and try this recipe or some other flavor that goes with Custard Powder. Vanilla Custard Cake:
Ingredients:
2/3 cup selfraising flour
1/3 cup vanilla custard powder- Pillsbury
1/2 cup powdered sugar
40 gm butter
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
140ml warm milk
1 egg - well beaten
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp choco strands
1 tsp almond flakes
Directions:
1.Sift together selfraising flour with vanilla custard powder and baking powder.
2.Cream powdered sugar with butter and beaten egg till it blends well and add it to the Step 1 mixture.
3.Add flavouring agent and warm milk and stir it well.
4.Pre-heat the Oven to 180 C.
5.Grease the Cake tin and pour in the batter and granish with almond flakes and choco strands.
6.Bake the cake for 18 - 22 mins or till the inserted toothpick comes out clean at the centre.Leave it for 10 mins.
7.Serve it with Tea/Coffee or after a filling Meal.
