Yogurt Mixed Chutney

Reached Chennai after a short trip abroad last night. Happy to share with U the glad news that I won 3 Runnerup Mugs in Amul Master Chef India 2, conducted by Indiblooger.in and Amul, for the following recipes  Panchamirtha Fruity Nuts Salad, Chicken Tikka in Orange Sauce and Coconut Chicken Manchurian. I was declared a Second Runnerup for this recipe post of  Fiery Grilled Chicken - SetsYou On Fire as one among ten Indibloggers in the KFC Fiery Grilled Contest conducted by  Indiblogger.in and KFC.  Thank U so much Indiblogger, KFC and Amul. This is a simple and so delicious chutney that can go well with Chapati,Pulao, Biryani, Fried Rice etc. and an ideal replacement for raita. Yummy to try and taste and very flavorful or can have it alone. Try this Yogurt Mixed Chutney and Enjoy Easy n Tasty Meal at home. BonAppetit!.

Yogurt Mixed Chutney
Ingredients:
250 ml Lowfat yogurt
1 small green brinjal - (grilled or Microwaved(10 - 12 mins) till done and Skins removed and pulped)
1/4 tsp grated ginger
1 1/2 tsp chopped mint leaves
½ tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
1 green chilli
1 - 2 Green Olives - pitted
1/5 tsp jeera
1 tsp grated coconut(optional)
1 tsp roasted and skinless -peanuts(optional)

(optional) seasoning:
2 red chillies
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
a pinch(very little) of asafoetida
2 sambar onions - chopped fine
few curry leaves
1 tsp olive oil
Directions:
1.Grind all the ingredients(except Yogurt and that of seasoning) coarsely.
2.Now add Yogurt and grated coconut(optional) and pulse this again 2-3 times.Pour the pulsed Chutney to a bowl. Keep it aside or serve it with Chapati,Pulao, Fried rice or Biryani.Yummy!.

For the Seasoning(optional):
1.Heat olive oil and do seasoning with the above mentioned seasoning ingredients.
2.Add it to the Yogurt Chutney when u serve this tastematch.

    @ SRS - Eggplant Hummus requires Tahini paste(white Sesame),little Hummus or canned Chickpeas paste and Garlic. It does not include Yogurt and Ginger in its recipe.
