This Masal Vada requires no soaked gramdal and hence it can be instantly done and served to unexpected guests within 10 mins.This Very crisp,aromatic and yumm Vada serves 4 nos in 10 mins cooking time . Bread Cornflakes Vada
Ingredients:
5 Bread slices - 2-3 days old,Edges removed and shredded
1/2 cup cornflakes - pulsed once
1 onion -finely chopped
1 - 2 green chillies - finely chopped
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
1/3 cup Aachi Bajji Bonda Mix (or 1/3 cup plain besan flour + 1/4 tsp asafoetida)
few chopped curry leaves
1/5 tsp salt
oil - to shallow or Deep-fry
Directions
1.Add Aachi Bajji bonda mix with shredded bread slices sprinkling enough water to a thick dough.
2.Add the pulsed Cornflakes,chopped Onions,chopped green Chillies,Fennel Seeds,Coriander leaves,curry leaves and salt and shape the dough into lemon sized balls and flatten them.
3.Heat oil in a non-stick pan, Deep or shallow fry the Vadas till done crisp or golden brown.
4.Serve it hot with ur choice of chutney and tomato ketchup.
