This is an easy Chinese Chicken preparation to try at home. Paprika is a spice made from the grinding of dried Capsicum (Bell Peppers or Chilli Peppers).If U need it to be semi-dry, add 1/2 tsp corn starch dissolved 70 ml warm water after adding the soy sauce in step 6. U can use ready-made(like Aachi Chilli Chicken Masala powder- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp) instead of Chilli Powder + Paprika and try this dish.Treat Your Tastebuds with Delightful Chinese Delicacy. Chilli Chicken - Very tasty dry Chinese Chicken
Ingredients:
chicken pieces(boneless) - 200 gms
egg - 1 no
chilli powder - 1/2 tsp or 3/4 tsp white pepper powder
paparika (dry capsicum powder) - 1 tsp
vinegar or lemon juice- 1 tsp
soy sauce - 2 tsp + 1/2 tsp
salt - 3/4 tsp or to taste
finely chopped onion- 1 no
green chilli - 1 no
Garlic - 2 -3 nos
Capsicum - 1/4 no
pinch of ajinomotto
few spring onions - chopped
little food colour(red)
refine oil for deep frying
Directions
1.Mix the chicken pieces with vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, chilli powder, paprika, little food colour, little salt and beaten egg.Keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
2.Slice the onion,Spring Onion,Garlic,Capsicum and green chilli thin.
3.Heat oil in a pan and deep fry chicken pieces.(keep aside the remaining marinade).
4.Remove from oil keep aside. Remove oil from pan leaving about 1 tbsp. Add the chopped onion,garlic pieces and green chilli and saute till golden brown.
5.Add the capsicum and the remaining marinade and cook till it gets thick,say for about 2 mins.
6.Add deep-fried chicken pieces, remaining soy sauce, ajinomotto,chopped spring onions,1/4 cup chicken stock and little salt.Cook till done for 3 more mins on medium flame and serve it hot with Indian Breads and Chinese Fried Rice and Noodles.
